A truly fine ensemble that could be filed under “surf music” or
“excellent guitar music” combining relaxed instrumentation (the
musicians mention “hula music” as another one of the ingredients)
and the hauntingly intense voice of singer Thomas Fricke, aka Tommy
Whynot who sometimes sounds like a laconic mix of Tom Waits, Tex
Perkins and Chris Isaak.
